3-hr Waterstart Semi-private Lesson
The Waterstart lesson is a combination of the kite and board! Lessons held daily. This course is for those who can control the kite well, but need to get on the board to ride. Our hands-on approach is fast, safe, and efficient. This course is $200 per person for 2 students working with one instructor for 3 hours. You don’t need a friend we will try to pair you, if we cannot pair you with a lesson partner it will become a 2 hour private. If you are under 18 or over 60, or under 120lbs or over 220lbs then take the 3 hr. private lesson rather than be paired.
Learn how to deal with all possible scenarios while you instructor is with you. Successful completion of this course will earn you the IKO level 2 intermediate Kiteboarder Certification! After this course, we can give you a supervised kite rental, additional lessons, or help you find your own kite and practice at our local spot in Belmont Shore. As a graduate of SoCal Kitesurfing, you will be welcome to set up at our location and get ongoing support from our school and kite community.

Friendly Booking Policies:
Wind: No wind, no charge. If weather appears to be in doubt, we will call you before lesson. If your lesson is stopped due to weather you may have either a credit or a pro-rated refund for any uncompleted lesson time. Confirm with your instructor any lesson hours due at end of lesson.
Cancellations: A full refund can be given if you need to cancel or reschedule and give 24 hours notice. A 50% refund with be given on short notice. No refund on no-shows without any notification unless we are able to fill your spot. Lessons can be used or transferred to a friend and never expire, but no cash refunds beyond 1 year from purchase.
Semi-privates: 3-hour semi-private lessons are converted to a 2-hour private lesson if there is only one student.
No Video: Please no video of lessons or go-pros during lessons.
Minors: if a minor is coming without a parent, please sign our liability waiver in advance. Minors need to take a private lesson or group lesson with other family members. Kids 9 and up may take lessons.
